De Open Waard in OpenBIM
After a series of presentations about OpenBIM to many of our clients RS | Roeleveld-Sikkes Architects starts another project in OpenBIM.
For a large residential care project. ‘De Open waard’ in Oud-Beijerland, we have created an OpenBIM environment on behalf of our client HW Housing Association in Oud-Beijerland. In this model, based on IFC (Industry Foundation Classes), different companies with different software can login and work in the BIM model. We started of with a meeting between the advisors and their draftsmen to set the rules of the cooperation. Several tests are performed and passed to test the exchange between the various drawing tools. Soon the result of the joint Technical Design Phase will be presented by Imd Consulting Engineers from Rotterdam, Vintis Installation Advisors from Zoetermeer and Roeleveld-Sikkes Architects from The Hague / Budapest.
