Urban plan Wilderszijde

Wilderszijde is an expansion area of Lansingerland (Bergschenhoek). The concept of the development plan is based on the design of Aldo van Eyck's pavilion in Sonsbeek, visible in the Kröller-Müller Museum. Deviations in the linear structure create larger public spaces.

The area is accessible by two bridges on the Northwest of the plan. On the Northeast side of the area canals enter the plan. On the southeast side green strips provide the transition to the grassland. In the centre of the plan a green wedge interrupts the long lines of the linear structure resulting in a nice green centre zone.

The overall plan includes approximately 830 homes, consisting of apartments and houses. Many special living areas are designed for the plan, providing a solid foundation for further architectural development.
