The area proposed by our Commissioner is located in the most rapidly developing part of Budapest. In the 13th district of Budapest, along Váci road, there are various large-scale real estate developments. Due to its proximity to the city centre, the Danube and good public transport, the area is very popular among investors.
The building’s volume adheres to the local regulation plan and creates an unbroken “wall” parallel to the busy Váci road. Approaching from the city centre the most prominent and highest part of the headquarters welcomes the visitors. The vibrant new public area in front of the building also functions as a symbolic gate to the new commercial complex. The green belt of the Rákos stream and the secluded inner courtyards of the building contribute to a pleasant working environment shielded from the busy city traffic. At the highest point of the building there are multilevel terraces with beautiful views of the River Danube and the promenade by the Rákos stream.
During the design process we gave a lot of attention to the flexible plans and the exploitation of a modern complex. Renewable energy and economical solutions such as heat pumps, solar collectors, structural heating and cooling system, rainwater utilization were the underlying principles of the architectural and technical elements of our plans to create a green and intelligent building. Our plan was one of the successfully selected architectural concepts that made it into the next round.
