Apartments Concerto
Together with Calatrava’s bridge across the Hoofdvaart waterway, Concerto forms a new entrance to Toolenburg, residential neighbourhood of Hoofddorp. Landscape design by Vlug & Partners was an integral part of this project from the beginning, striving to create a special dialogue with the bridge, the surrounding open landscape and the residential neighbourhood.
The urban scheme defines an open space between the bridge and the buildings, thus creating a green entrance square and providing the best view for the apartments. Combining rigid layout with variation in height and orientation, the complex provides a variety of apartments, from compact flats to spacious penthouses. In Concerto we combine a harmonious composition with a thoughtful integration in the existing surroundings, providing top living quality to each apartment.
We have chosen sustainable materials that will retain their good looks in the future. The complex has been materialized in a dark shiny brick to provide an ever-changing appearance. Other materials’ choice followed the predefined colour palette and high quality demands.
